INITIATIVESĪllen Media Group’s (AMG) TheGrio is calling for nominations for its TheGrio Heroes initiative. New programming on the FAST channel will be released weekly including feature film “On Da Run,” adapted from the book by bestselling author Nikki Turner Season 1 of “The Randi Rossario Show,” a roundtable talk show Season 1 of “Street Legal,” a scripted legal drama centering on a Detroit-based twin brother and sister defense attorney team running the top law firm in the state featuring Donald Brumfield (VH1’s “Black Ink Crew: Chicago”) and Season 1 of reality-style prank show “Meet the Parents.” Homestead Entertainment, a 100% Black-owned and operated distribution and production company, was founded in 2020 by Leonard Burnett Jr., Sean Armstrong, Rob Johnson and Dennis Reed II. Homestead Plus (+) provides viewers content that reflects of the diverse Black experience with a programming mix of independent films and series from the Homestead library of more than 600 titles, including exclusive originals, comedy, sports, unscripted shows, and live entertainment. 28 on TCL’s TVs, which are powered by Roku and Google connected-TV platforms. The new Homestead Plus (+) channel first rolled out on Feb.
Homestead Entertainment launched a free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel specializing in premiere storytelling by Black creators for Black audiences. Other additions to the directing team include Karyn Kusama, Karena Evans and Lauren Wolkstein.Īll six episodes will be available for streaming April 21 on Prime Video. Sean Durkin directed the first two episodes as well as the finale. Weisz is also an executive producer on the show alongside showrunner Alice Birch (“Succession,” “Normal People”).
The psychological thriller features Rachel Weisz in the lead roles of twin gynecologists Elliot and Beverly Mantle, who become embroiled in medical malpractice as a result of performing operations on infertile women.
The camera slowly zooms in to reveal chilling details, like streaks of blood covering one of the twins’ faces. Set to Blondie’s “Heart of Glass,” the teaser opens with an eerie wide shot of the Mantle twins, garbed in matching red gowns.
Prime Video dropped the official teaser trailer today for “Dead Ringers,” an upcoming limited series based on David Cronenberg’s 1988 film of the same name.
